The National Bioeconomy Coordination Board (NBCB) has met a French Delegation 20.6.2022

On 20 June 2022, a meeting was held in Rome at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers between a delegation of the National Coordination Group for the Bioeconomy (GCNB) of the CNBBSV (formed by the President of the CNBBSV Prof. Andrea Lenzi and Prof. Fabio Fava, member of the same Committee and Scientific Coordinator of the GCNB in attendance, while Ing. Laura D'Aprile, Head of the Department of Ecological Transition and Dr. Giacomo Vigna, representative of the Ministry of Economic Development, participated remotely) and a delegation of representatives for the bioeconomy of the French Ministry of Agriculture (formed by Dr. Catherine de Menthière, Inspector General – Bridge, Water and Forest Engineering, Ing. Jean Gault, General Engineer of Bridges, Water and Forests and Dr. Jean Pascal Fayolle, Counsellor of the French Embassy in Rome).

The meeting was an effective opportunity for a fruitful exchange of experiences in the promotion and implementation of the bioeconomy in the two countries.

In particular, the Italian delegation, after illustrating the Italian strategies in this field, provided an updated picture of their implementation in the country and in Europe.

The discussion then continued by touching on various topics such as priorities, monitoring and guidelines on the implementation of the bioeconomy in the two countries, concluding with the presentation of future actions in the respective countries and possible joint actions.
